Woodturning is not a lost art!
I’m pleased to be among the many men and women that keep this craft alive. The technology of today makes it possible for computers to transform raw material, such as wood into functional objects, but it takes a trained eye and skilled hands to turn an ordinary block of wood into a something extraordinary.
It’s a thrill for me to watch someone carefully pick up a turned piece of my work and watch them gently glide their fingers over its smooth edges as if it’s a small child or a cherished pet. It’s as if the wood has been given a new life.
